Our Story

Legacy Vault comes from both professional experience and something more personal.

My background is 20+ years in public services and experience in civil proceedings, with a double major in LLB with Political Science, and an LLM Master of Laws - First Class Honours. Throughout that time, one thing has remained constant: my focus has always been about people. and how to help them navigate systems that can often feel complex or overwhelming.

But Legacy Vault didn't start as an idea on paper. It started with real experience.

The Story

When a close family member passed, we were left trying to piece together her affairs. We didn't know if there was a lawyer involved, where her will was, who she banked with, and where her insurance policies were kept. Navigating the estate process meant dealing with uncertainty at every step. Searching for information, making calls, and trying to ensure we were doing the right thing in the right order.

While we eventually were able to work through it with the help of her solicitor, it was a difficult and expensive process at the time when we were already dealing with the loss.

What stayed with me was this: not every person knows how to start the process, and not every family has that support when their loved one passes away. And even when they do, navigating an estate can still be stressful, fragmented, and emotionally draining.

Our Purpose

Legacy Vault was created to make that experience easier for everyone involved. It's not just about helping someone organise their affairs; it's about making things clearer and simpler for the people they leave behind. It helps families navigate the estate process with more certainty by ensuring that important information is in one place, secure, and accessible when it is needed the most (subject to New Zealand privacy laws). When the time comes, families aren't left searching, guessing, or struggling through already difficult times in their lives.

Don't leave things to chance. Get organised, take control, and give your family the clarity they need.
